Stephen Fisher

Director of Family Ministries

Stephen was saved at an early age, and was blessed to be raised in a God-loving and centred home. He grew up being very involved in his church, and had the opportunity to attend a Christian leadership training camp in New York throughout his teen years, and is still connected with this ministry.

After spending 18 years in the education sector as a teacher, educational consultant and school principal, he answered God’s calling in his life and entered full-time ministry. He seeks to help disciple families in how they can fulfill God’s calling in their role as parents, to faithfully engage their children and seek to make the gospel the central focus of the home. Stephen also directs the children’s ministry program, seeking to create a family equipping model that supports parents through weekly Sunday lessons and discipleship, while allowing parents to claim their role as the primary faith trainers of their children.

Stephen graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science (1995) and also a Bachelor of Arts in Neuropsychology (1996). He also graduated with a Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta in 1998. He is currently working on his Masters of Theology at Liberty University. In 2001 Stephen married his wife Karen, and are parents to their children Elizabeth, Rachel and Hannah and also Stephen’s niece Dylan.
